Janine

Postulant

(she/her)
Janine heard about Martha’s House in a tweet posted by the Bodmin Hermit. Instantly intrigued and grateful for the possibility of joining a monastic community, she began to use the Daily Office. This led to the discernment period when she realised that some of the daily, personal challenges and needs she faces as an HSP (Highly Sensitive Person) were being naturally eased and met by the monastic rhythms and community life. Martha’s House is a place in which Janine feels released to be exactly what she was created to be.
She is a Yorkshire Lass who lives in London working part-time as a teaching assistant. She loves nature and walks as often as she can in Surrey. We have several new postulants making their commitments soon!
